Record fine imposed on fake wine
The Food Safety and Animal Health Directorate (MGSZH) of Bács-Kiskun County’s Agricultural Office, imposed 1.4 billion HUF fine on the Akasztó- based plant of Kiskun-Vin Kft., where almost 5 thousand hectoliters of counterfeit or unlicensed wine was found in the tanks.
Almost 5000 hectoliters of manipulated wine were found on the 21st of October 2010 at the Akasztó- based plant of Kiskun-Vin Kft. by the MGSZH. 140 samples were taken, and found irregularity at 10 wines (4,832 hectoliters) – reports szabadfold.hu.
