The 4th Bodrogi PET Cup ended with a record amount

After Maros, Tisza-tó and Közép-Tisza, the last waste collection PET Cup competition of this season has ended in Bodrog. This time, 10 teams took to the water to clean the river and its floodplain between the mouths of Olaszliszka and Bodrog from the accumulated waste. Although the rainy weather was not favorable for the work, IV. Bodrogi PET Cup still set a record: 11 tons of waste were cleared from the river in 3.5 days. This concluded the 2023 competition season, and the collected waste reached 30 tons. This amount certainly does not reach downstream countries.

In 2023, more than ever before, including the bodrogi, five river-cleaning competitions were organized by the Naturesfilm.hu Film Workshop Association, the founder of the PET Cup. In May, for the first time in the history of the PET Cup, the pet owners visited Maros, and in mid-June they cleaned Lake Tisza for the fourth time. Where the participants of the competition finished collecting, the young titans of the Youth PET Cup continued.
