Advertising tax reloaded – tax refund or billion HUF fines

In May 2017, the rules of advertising tax changed again, which makes it possible to make a tax refund, but due to the amendments that are in force since January 2017, billion HUF fines can also be imposed.

Although the advertising tax does not cease to exist, the tax liability for the past is zero. Although the 0 percent single tax rate is only introduced for the period from 1 January 2017 to 30 June 2017, the amount of the previously paid tax will be refunded under the EU Decision.
