Hotel air conditioning can be a hidden source of danger
Hotel air conditioning systems also deserve special attention during the autumn-winter travel season – warns Mihály Antal, technical manager of Gree.
A poorly maintained device can not only cause unpleasant noises and odors, but can also pose a health risk: it can trigger respiratory tract irritation, allergies, and cold-like symptoms. Although the chance of legionella infection is small, other pathogens can settle in the system.
Guests are advised to report the problem to the reception and use the air conditioning carefully, for example between 20-22 °C, in “Sleep” mode. A properly functioning device contributes to a relaxing, safe vacation.
