Old and new pillars
This year EuroShop took place between 26 February and 2 March, and the trade fair was the biggest Retail and POP themed event in the world, too. This is also the place where the Global Leader Meeting takes place for the local POPAI and Shop! Association branches. Leo van de Polder, global development director of Shop! Association was the host and moderator at the one-day event, to which the 50 participants came from every parts of the globe.
Brad Stewart, executive vice president of Hera Lighting and the new president of Shop! gave the keynote speech, talking about the lessons learned from the events of the past few years, and the challenges of the present and the future. Murray Kasmann, executive director of Shop! Association checked in online, and talked about his hopes that many POPAI and Shop! Association leaders will be there at Shop! MarketPlace (Austin, Texas, 25-27 April) and Shop! Ideation (October) too. //
At the meeting of POPAI and Shop! Association leaders, global development director Leo van de Polder presented a certificate of appreciation to Ildikó Kátai, general secretary of the Hungarian branch, for her 20 years of hard work for the benefit of POPAI and Shop! Association. Zsuzsanna Hermann, a member of POPAI Hungary’s presidency, was there to congratulate the general secretary on behalf of the Hungarian organisation. //
