György Molnár (35), chef of Hotel Hadik and a former member of the board of Étrend Magyar Konyhafőnökök Egyesülete had resigned from the board minutes before the annual meeting of the club was scheduled to begin. – Unfortunately, chairman Péter Mózes had excellent ideas but last year’s annual meeting failed to support him and he was forced to resign. I had sincerely hoped that we would be able to re-establish the standards of earlier years but I have realised that this is a full time job and I simply don’t have enough time – he says. – Furthermore, my ideas about the future of Étrend were also quite different from those of other board members. In his opinion, the main reason behind the lack of interest in the work of professional organisations like this is the daily struggle chefs are involved in to make a living.
