Raw milk’s price rising again
In January 2017 agricultural production prices were down 2.6 percent in comparison with January 2016. This drop was the result of the price of vegetable products decreasing by 8.9 percent and livestock/products of animal origin prices growing by 9.6 percent from the base period level. After the price reduction between January 2015 and July 2016, since last August raw milk has been purchased from farmers at increasing prices; in January 2017 it was HUF 94/litre.
