Kalinka was awarded gold at a prestigious international competition
Kalinka Vodka received a gold rating at the world-class Meininger’s International Spirits Award (ISW) competition. In addition to recognizing excellence, the award places the drink produced by Zwack Unicum Nyrt. for more than 40 years among the largest and most recognized vodka brands.
ISW is one of the most prestigious spirits competitions in the world, where narrow groups of judges evaluate the participating products strictly and in detail, scoring them based on comprehensive quality tests. During the process, the drinks are distributed among expert panels of five or six people, who taste them blindly, in professional glasses that guarantee comparability, in thematically connected circles. Each spirit is evaluated separately and independently, on a 100-point system, based on appearance, aroma, taste and overall impression. The drinks are served in a so-called specially developed for each type of spirit. characterized by an aroma wheel. The average of all evaluations gives the score achieved in the competition, in which the well-known Kalinka brand was awarded a gold rating at this year’s competition.
Vodka worth its weight in gold: based on centuries-old vodka production traditions, Kalinka is made from high-quality grain distillate and water completely purified from minerals. After distillation four times and filtering ten times, it is even passed through a gold fiber filter, thanks to which it becomes uniform, soft and silky, pure vodka. The drink, which can be enjoyed on its own or as a base for a long drink, has won the prestigious ISW international awards: for example, it received 5 stars in the limpidity category. The plaque testifying to the gold-medal sips will soon be visible on the renewed Kalinka bottles.
