The State Secretary of the Ministry of Agriculture received a prestigious award
The Hungarian University of Agricultural and Life Sciences awarded the title of honorary associate professor to Zsolt Feldman, the State Secretary for Agriculture and Rural Development of the Ministry of Agriculture. The award was presented at the MATE Action Leaders Conference on the institution’s Kaposvár campus.
According to the statement, Zsolt Feldman carries out his work with full commitment to Hungarian agriculture and in the spirit of improving the situation of rural Hungary. Since 2010, he has been a permanent participant in the European Union’s decision-making forums concerning agriculture, from the Agriculture and Fisheries Council to various high-level professional working groups. The ‘Renewed countryside, renewed agriculture’ program, which he coordinated in 2021, allowed the largest agricultural development program in Hungary after the change of regime to be launched.
The State Secretary of the Ministry of Agriculture has been a determining and active player in the Hungarian agricultural administration for many years, during which time he has also worked with the Hungarian University of Agricultural and Life Sciences on many occasions. He has participated in numerous conferences and professional events of the institution, where he has shared his experiences with MATE staff and students, as well as with the wider professional audience. As an invited speaker within the framework of the joint cooperation, he has also played a significant role in the educational processes.
