Gordon Ramsey is the richest chef
Around the world, Gordon Ramsay is known for his Michelin-star fine dining restaurants and high-quality gastro pubs. But in the U.S. he’s better known for his cursing than for his cooking. Fans in the U.S. think of Ramsay as the bombastic host of shows like Hell’s Kitchen and Master Chef.
Ramsay, 45, is slowly expanding his restaurant empire into the U.S. with locations at the London hotels in New York City and Los Angeles. At the same time, he’s expanding his TV empire which is far more lucrative. His latest series, Hotel Hell, will show Ramsay helping small hotel owners turn their struggling businesses around (likely often by yelling and cursing). The show debuts on Fox in August. Thanks mostly to his TV shows in the U.S. and Britain, Ramsay tops our list of the highest-paid chefs with an estimated $38 million in earnings.
