Ramen spork – Picture of the day

Cutlery from 2022: a designed stainless steel spoon for eating the Japanese noodle soup popular in our country, ramen, the work of designer/creative director/creative consultant/others Masami Takahashi. It’s nice, and the price is right for it. $29 each. The word spork is an untranslatable play on words, combining the English equivalents of the words spoon and fork. The spork was not invented recently or in Asia: the idea was patented in the USA almost a century and a half ago, in 1874, and originally ice cream was scooped (forked?) with it – we show you one made at the beginning of the 20th century.
