Johnson & Johnson cartoons on the web
Johnson & Johnson said it is launching a new advertising campaign for the company's baby lotion that will for the first time include Internet cartoons.
The one-to-two-minute cartoons,
premiering tomorrow, will promote how the mother-child bond is helped
when the mother uses Johnson’s Baby Lotion on her child, according
to the New Brunswick-based health care products company. The animated
shorts are titled "Baby Massage Class," "Tickles,
Wiggles & Giggles," and "Birthday Party.”
J&J will advertise the cartoons
where the company thinks mothers are spending time online, including
Babycenter.com and the Web sites of television channels Discovery
Health and TLC. The ads will drive Internet users to Web sites that
J&J has set up for the new campaign at Touchingbond.com and
Touchingbond.com/espanol.
"According to statistics, more
than 32 million moms regularly log online, using the Internet as an
essential tool for education, advice and entertainment, which is why
we realized tapping into this platform is critical," said
Bridgette Heller, global president of Johnson's Babycare.
The nationwide campaign will run all
year and include television and print ads. In addition, the ads will
run in Spanish and be promoted on Spanish-language Web sites and
television shows.
