A radical change can be observed in savings
Other winds are blowing in the investment markets: the period of double-digit returns is over, but according to K&H experts, real returns above the slowed inflation can still be achieved. For this, it is also worth counting on foreign exchange and sustainability-focused investments, which are no longer just a possibility, but rather an expectation.
“The investor environment has fundamentally changed this year compared to last year, and this also affects small investors,”
said Gábor Bánhalmi, chief strategist of K&H Fund Management, at the financial institution’s latest investor club event, where international investment markets, changes in yields, and the forint and the foreign exchange market were discussed in detail by the experts.
“It is an undoubted fact that last year’s double-digit returns linked to Hungarian assets must be said goodbye. At the same time, you should never only look at this one number, but also at inflation, and overall, how the returns compare to the rate of inflation. Inflation slowed down, which paralleled the base interest rate and interest rates, which also showed in the yields. However, it is important that the goal of all investors, including small investors, is to achieve a real return, and this is still possible now.”
said the specialist.
