QR code can help track food
The development of a new digital platform has been launched, which can make the journey of food products traceable from producer to consumer.
The 130 million forint project, partly funded by the EU, aims to connect data generated by different actors in the food chain. The Digital Product Passport Platform consists of 3 systems, and according to the plans, customers can obtain information about the origin, composition and production of products by scanning a QR code. According to Gábor Berkovich, CEO of SeaCon Europe, the solution can strengthen consumer trust and help meet food safety requirements.
