Back in 1989, Profi was the first discount store chain to enter the Hungarian market. Today they have 73 units all over the country and 80 percent of their private label products are manufactured in Hungary. Last year the 20th anniversary was the apropos of their communication campaign, which mainly focused on repositioning the brand and on acquiring new customers. Anyone who spent more than HUF 1,500 in a Profi store could participate in a prize game; the main prizes were two cars.

Profi’s radio communication was also special with its ‘Strawberry Pup’ couple – the chain communicated their most important messages through their funny story. Profi’s partner was D&V Marketing Kft. in organising the different activities.
