Prices grew by 2.4 percent on average last year
In December 2017 consumer prices were 2.1 percent higher than in December 2016. Food prices increased by 3.5 percent. The price of egg soared by 39.4 percent, dairy products’ price was up 7.9 percent and bread became 7.7 percent more expensive. Alcoholic drink and tobacco product prices elevated by 6.8 percent. Services cost 1.1 percent more and we had to pay 1.6 percent more for household energy.
Compared with November 2017, food prices jumped 0.1 percent. Egg became 19.3 percent more expensive and milk’s price was up 2 percent. Fresh vegetables cost 6 percent more but fruits turned 6.4 percent cheaper, and we had to pay 4.8 percent less for sugar. In 2017 consumer prices grew by 2.4 percent and the price of food products was up 2.8 percent. //
