Prices were up 1.9 percent in February
In February 2018 consumer prices were 1.9 percent higher on average than a year before. In comparison with February 2017, food prices increased by 3.9 percent. Egg’s price soared by 37.1 percent and butter/dairy spread’s price rose 13.5 percent. Dairy product prices augmented by 7.4 percent and bread cost 6 percent more. Sugar became 14.2 percent cheaper.
Alcoholic drink and tobacco product prices grew by 6.4 percent. The price of household energy got 1.6 percent higher. Services were provided for 1 percent more. Motor fuels turned 2 percent less expensive. Compared with January 2018, consumer prices elevated by 0.2 percent and food prices jumped 0.4 percent. //
