Pricer shelf label in the Hungaricum Corner too
CBA and Szintézis Informatika proved that they not only lead the way in innovation (CBA was the first food store to use electronic shelf labels), but also in promoting Hungarian products. CBA feels that as a Hungarian retail chain it is their obligation to support domestic farmers and manufacturers. Tímea Halmágyi, CBA Pláza’s marketing director told our magazine that they set up the Hungarian Corner to help shoppers in finding their favourite products – and for those who did not buy Hungarian before to show what domestic manufacturers have to offer. When the idea was born it was obvious that in the stylish corner electronic shelf labels would be used.
This July in CBA Sopron Plaza the first Hungaricum Corner opened where wines, pálinkas, sweets, fresh and preserved food products from Hungarian manufacturers can be found. The 60-m² corner boasts nearly 900 products, for instance 150 types of wine selected from CBA Vinotéka. Hungaricum Corners unique design is combined with cutting edge technology: Pricer electronic labels are used to indicate product prices, in euro as well – exchange rate changes are managed easily as Pricer is capable of updating 70,000 labels per hour. Shelf labels and several other equipment and software were provided by Szintézis Informatikai Zrt. – CBA’s partner for 8 years now.
