A positive surprise in U.S. retail sales

In the United States, retail sales increased greater in October, than it was expected, which provides further evidence of the economic improvement.

The total retail sales increased by 1.2 percent, which is the highest growth since March, and surpassed the revised 0.7 percent data of September.
