A positive surprise in the U.S. retail datas
Although the wreck premium program ended in November, U.S. retail increased by 1.7 percent – shows in the trade ministry’s report. The analysts forecasted only an average 0.6 percent growth.
November was the third month in the last quarter, when retail sales expansion was reported by the U.S. Trade Ministry. Without cars turnover increased by 1.2 percent, which is also a positive surprise, because the majority of analysts expected a 0.4 percent expansion.
The car dealers, service stations and stores also had larger turnover. The Christmas shopping fever, that began on the last weekend of November also played a big role in this – reports Portfolio.hu.
