Porsche Hungária expects sales of new cars to rise in Hungary 2011
Porsche Hungária expects the number of new cars sold in Hungary to rise from 53,000 in 2010 to 55-60,000 in 2011, PH managing director János Eppel informed MTI.
Eppel said that PH's sales fell 28-30% in 2010, the same as the decline in sales in Hungary's overall new-car market this year. PH currently has a 28.5% market share in Hungary, including light commercial vehicles, up from 19% in 2009. Private customers are only responsible for 30% of sales, Eppel mentioned, noting that the share of corporate buyers has increased during the crisis. The company's network of car dealers dropped to 900 from 1,200 two years ago. PH currently has 150 sales units and 240 garages compared to 170 and 270, respectively, in 2008. PH sells Porsche, Audi, SEAT, Skoda and Volkswagen brands.
