Amazon opens pop-up store on China’s latest e-commerce platform
In December Amazon opened a pop-up store on Pinduoduo, the latest Chinese e-commerce platform. Then pop-up store was open until the end of December and offered about 1,000 different products from overseas. Amazon’s situation wasn’t easy in China, as it had to compete with giants such as Alibaba’s Tmall or JD.com. Amazon’s opening a pop-up store on Pinduoduo indicates that the start-up – which had been established 4 years ago – managed to break Alibaba and JD.com’s dominance in Chinese online retail. //
