Hungarian company managers are more pessimistic this year, according to a survey
According to the announcement, a little more than half of the optimists expect a net sales increase of between 4 and 10 percent; in the IT sector, service centers and the service industry, more people than average expect an increase of over 15 percent.
The majority of the almost 250 companies participating in the research believe that the biggest business challenge of the year will be increased wage costs (71 percent) and higher operating costs (61 percent), higher energy costs were indicated by 43 percent.
In response to the challenges, 62 percent of companies transform their structure and reevaluate their labor needs, half of the respondents cut operating costs, 48 percent of companies freeze hiring, 39 percent raise prices, 35 percent introduce “other” energy saving measures, 31 percent improve employees’ skills, 25 percent make energy efficiency investments, and 14 percent offer more home office options in order to reduce office energy costs.
