PepsiCo offer for Danone

Last summer, there was constant speculation that the US company was preparing a bid for Danone, french politicians were disgusted.

 Pepsico Inc is mulling a takeover for Groupe Danone, French business radio channel BFM reported, citing an unnamed source close to the matter. Danone this week agreed to sell the bulk of its biscuits and
cereals business to Kraft Foods Inc for 5.3 bln eur and analysts said this
makes it not only a potential predator but also a tempting prey.
