Pay up, debtor!
Between 1 January and 31 August 2017 NAV didn’t automatically start a debt collection procedure: tax authorities notified approximately 450,000 debtors of the fact that they are owing money and asked them to settle the debts. Every sixth debtor paid up in 8 days’ time. A new bill ensures the standard procedure in the cases of collecting tax, health services contribution and waste management fee debt. NAV can grant the right to debtors to pay in instalments or extend payment deadlines. //
