Kroger Partners With Europe’s Infarm For In-Store Fresh Produce
US retailer Kroger has partnered with Europe’s vertical farming company, Infarm, to offer a range of store-grown fresh produce in its outlets across North America.
In total, the retailer plans to introduce the innovative technology in 15 Kroger Quality Food Center (QFC) stores.
This month, the retailer will introduce modular in-store farms in two QFC outlets in Bellevue and Kirkland in Washington.
The farms are designed to scale and will provide shoppers the freshest and most sustainable living produce options available, Kroger said in its statement.
