László Parragh: The introduction of price caps must be planned slowly
The president of the Hungarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry spoke in an interview with Magyar Nemzet – which was seen by napi.hu – that the price caps will soon be phased out. According to Parragh, 2023 will be an easier year than 2022 was.

The investment side may pick up
He believes that it is a positive process that, after the initial panic, the majority of companies are increasingly adapting to high energy prices, and have started on a path that will certainly make their operations sustainable.
It also creates a favorable economic environment. The fact that the agreement on the drawdown of European Union funds had a positive effect on the exchange rate of the forint, the Hungarian currency may strengthen further in the future.
There’s an old saying that what doesn’t break you makes you stronger. If, for example, we analyze the evolution of inflation, it can be concluded that we are slowly reaching the peak. This may happen in a month or two, in which base effects obviously play a role, but the fact is still a fact
said the president of the chamber during the interview.
