A Hungarian company has developed equipment that produces high-quality drinking water from steam
The founder and managing director of Clasman Kft., a Hungarian company that has developed equipment that efficiently and sustainably produces high-quality drinking water from the humidity of the air, was the guest in the podcast of the former president of the Republic, János Áder, titled Blue Planet, published on Tuesday, which can also be viewed on the most popular video sharing platform.
Tamás Mendi, head of the food industry company founded in 2011 and committed to sustainable development, emphasized that they are proud to offer a local solution to the global drinking water problem. Two billion out of eight billion people in the world do not have access to adequate quality and quantity of drinking water, he said.
János Áder, chairman of the board of trustees of the Blue Planet Climate Protection Foundation, noted that according to the UN’s estimate, the number of inhabitants of the Earth will be around ten billion by 2050, and taking into account the properties of water bases, half of the population at that time will live in water-scarce areas. Water consumption is growing twice as fast as the population, he added, noting that, in his opinion, such technologies will be increasingly needed.
