Cautious optimism
According to the Ipsos AI Monitor 2025 survey, 64% of the Hungarian population believes that AI has more advantages than disadvantages, which is above the European average.

Compared to other Europeans, Hungarians are significantly less distrustful when it comes to AI data management

Although 44% are excited about the spread of the technology, 53% view it with concern. Trust in data management is at a lower level than it used to be, but 55% still trust AI-using companies – this is the highest rate in Europe. Only 33% of Hungarians believe that the state handles AI responsibly, while 59% explicitly distrust it.
