The transit time of packages can be even fifty days during the Christmas period. The National Tax and Customs Administration (NAV) and the Magyar Posta (Hungarian Post) wrote in a joint statement that the Hungarian Post is expected to transport 15 million packages.
They state that with the growth of e-commerce, the domestic courier, express and parcel services market increases by more than 10 percent per year on average.
They pointed out that if the goods come from outside the EU countries, it must be cleared through customs. The postal service undertakes this task. (MTI)
