Schlecker closes 500 stores
According to the owner of the largest German drugstore network; their turnover has been declining on the domestic market, since 2004 so they are planning the conversion of the whole business model.
Among other things, they will transform the businesses and develop larger sale space.
The network currently has 10 thousand shops in Germany and in 13 European countries. Among the new EU member countries, the network has shops in Hungary, the Czech Republic and Poland and also plans to open new businesses, in other new European countries – reports hirszezo.hu.
