One-fifth less pálinka
This year, about 20 percent less home-made pálinka will be brewed, because less fruit has grown due to the summer drought and spring frosts – said Mihályi László, General Secretary of the Fruit Pálinka-Brewers' Association.
Last year, the brewers, taking advantage of the favorable opportunities brewed 5.8 million hectoliter degree, mostly tax-free home-brewed pálinka. (One hectoliter degree pálinka is equivalent to 1 liter 100 percent concentrated spirits). (by our colleague)
