Five thousand boxes of cigarettes were found in a German license plate truck
Five thousand boxes of cigarettes were found in the chassis of a German license plate truck by the finance officers of NAV, during an inspection on the Vas County section of Road 86 – the spokesperson of the Vas County Tax and Customs Directorate of the National Tax and Customs Administration (NAV) said on Tuesday.
According to Petkovits Anikó, more than four million forints worth tobacco goods were found in the cargo compartment of a van, under the floorboard, in a hiding place.
She added that the tax-free tobacco and the truck were seized and the driver was prosecuted for budget fraud. (MTI)
