An increase in Czech retail sales
Retail sales in the Czech Republic grew by 5.1 percent in March, after the 8.5 percent increase of February – the Czech Statistical Office (CSU) announced in Prague on Friday.
The statistical office pointed out that in March one less working day occured this year, than in the same month of last year.
In March, the sales of food products increased rapidly, and online store sales also expanded further, with 21 percent. The sales of manufactured goods was 6.8 percent higher than a year ago. (Kokes János, MTI)
