Euro area’s business confidence is on a five and a half year high
BCI (Business Climate Indicator) increased with a considerable extent by 0.38 points, to 0.79 points, which is the highest value of the past five and a half years in the euro zone.
According to the monthly report of the European Commission’s Directorate General for Economic and Financial Affairs (DG ECFIN) released on Friday, the ESI (Economic Sentiment Indicator) economic sentiment index in the euro zone increased by 1.2 points in December to 107.8 points, while in the EU increased by 1.8 points to 109.1 points.
