The NÉBIH is checking Austrian milk and dairy products
Fazekas Sándor, Minister of Agriculture has ordered the increased monitoring of milk and dairy products originating from Austria – the Ministry of Agriculture’s press office informed MTI on Monday.
In the notice it was stated that the ministry was informed from the press that hexachlorobenzene (HCB) contamination was detectedin several dairy products in Carinthia, so the National Food Chain Safety Office (NÉBIH) had to implement extraordinary measures.
The Ministry of Agriculture recommends that consumers better prefer domestic milk and dairy products when purchasing. (MTI)
