Shopping malls in Austria – the outbreak of construction fever?

Despite the economic crisis, in the next three years, 46 new shopping center are planned to be constructed in Austria.

The territory of Austrian shopping centers would increased to 800 thousand square meters. Last and this year, the territories of the 100 leading business centers growth with 1 percent. However, next year’s growth is expected in excess of 10 percent. Most of the shopping centers are located in Vienna, Twenty-for malls, with a total of 444 800 square meters. Second place is Upper Austria with 18  malls, following by Styria with 13 and Lower Austria with 14 shopping malls – reports Világgazdaság Online.
