Bread and meat can be cheaper from this autumn in Slovakia
From this autumn, the price of flours and baked goods can decline by 7-8 percent, while the price of meat by 7-10 percent in Slovakia – the Új Szó writes.
This year, Slovaks expect a 1.9 million tons wheat harvest, which is 600 thousand tons more than last year’s harvest. Due to the larger than average crop, wheat prices declined by 27 percent, compared to July 2012. The price of barley declined by 30 percent, while the price of corn by 34 percent – the Slovak Livestock Feed, Storage and Trade Association (ZVKSOS) announced – Világgazdaság Online wrote, after Új Szó.
