Contactless payments in autumn

The Visa Europe officially reports the beginning of a contactless payments facility in the UK's capital.The wireless technology allows of  secure payment data transmit between a
point–of–sale (POS) terminal and the contactless-enabled card. From autumn in
London the cardholders only wave their card or device near a secure reader at the
checkout, instead of swiping it.

There are also plans to induct the product in France,
Spain and Switzerland.

The Visa payWave will be enter on other European markets,
first of all in Turkey.
