The Nébih imposed fines of 440 million HUF in 2014
The National Food Chain Safety Office (Nébih) Has made significant progress this year in fulfilling the targets set out in the Food Chain Safety Strategy: the effectiveness of the controls has been improved, and the population is increasingly turning to the office.
According to the summary of Nébih, most of the controls aimed at food production, distribution and catering area, but a considerable number of checks carried out on livestock farms is high as well. In the first half of the annual sampling plan 22,767 food chain samples, while as teh part of the audit plan, a total of 6,820 checks were carried out, which is a significant improvement, compared to the previous years. The NÉBIH and the agriculture's services of the county governments imposed fines in a total value of 440 million HUF by the end of November. (by our colleague)
