While the consumer price remains the same, the size of Mars and Snickers chocolates reduced by 7 percent in Great Britain.

The chocolate manufacturer Mars Incorporated tryed to defense that the company is just fighting against weight problems and obesity, so they only keep theconsumers' interests in mind. However the change is not so significant: a small slice of Mars is only 19 calories less to  to the previous version, the Snickers decreased by only 23-calories. After the scandal hit the company they acknowledged that it was a necessary step, due to a significant decline in sales. As explained, this was the only way to avoid the increase in consumer prices. A number of state agencies are investigating if it is considered to be a misleading of consumers – reports Pénzcentrum.hu.
