The domestic brewing industry was united for small-scale beers
The restrictions and closures created by the corona virus have completely disrupted everyday life and business life. Responding to the situation, the brewing industry is helping each other and the industry with unprecedented collaboration, resulting in the #mentsükmegasöréletet initiative that has already involved more than 20 domestic breweries!
The situation due to the COVID-19 has put people, not just businesses, in a very difficult situation, because, unfortunately, not everyone can work from home and this is perfectly true for the hospitality industry. Taking into account that catering establishments cannot be opened at all, not only are they drastically affected by the closure, but also the nearly 90 small-scale breweries in Hungary! For the majority of them, 80-90 percent of the turnover comes from the sale of draft and bottled beers, which is irreplaceable in the absence of catering facilities and makes survival impossible for distilleries.
