Tourinform offices across the country are holding programs on the occasion of World Tourism Day
On the occasion of World Tourism Day, the Tourinform offices of more than 50 settlements are waiting for visitors with almost 90 events, Visit Hungary (VH) told MTI on Tuesday.
The programs, most of which are free, were advertised this year with the slogan “Walk and discover the treasures of Hungary!” at the invitation of VH.
According to the announcement, the company responsible for sales and marketing communication of Hungarian tourism mobilized the tourist information offices in order to involve sustainable tourism and local communities.
The organizers are confident that thematic walks, tours and games will also contribute to the experience offer of the participating settlements as sustainable tourism products.
World Tourism Day has been celebrated on September 27 every year since 1980, at the initiative of the United Nations World Tourism Organization (UN Tourism). The 2025 Hungarian program series lasts all week, and the list of guided thematic programs can be found on the igyutazunk.hu website.
