161 organizations across the country can develop local community life with HUF 41 million Tesco support
Recently, Tesco customers were able to decide on the distribution of several million forints with their votes cast in the stores in the “You choose, we help” tender program, which has been announced for the 13th time. More than 2.1 million votes were received for 161 community-building initiatives, the implementation of which is supported by Tesco with a total of HUF 41 million. Depending on the number of votes, the company contributes 400, 200, and 100,000 forints each to the implementation of environmental beautification, education and skill development, and healthy lifestyle projects in 57 districts, and rewards the four most creative initiatives with an additional 400,000 forints each.
In Tesco’s “You choose, we help” tender program, customers decide which programs the supermarket chain will support in their area. In the voting period from July 10 to August 6, Tesco customers could vote for, among other things, the organization of a robotics competition, the creation of a viticulture and winemaking educational trail, the construction of a community oven, a tour of the country preserving traditions for people with autism, a free university for high school students, and dog-assisted story-telling sessions. More than 2.1 tokens were thrown into the collectors located in the department stores, the most votes were cast in the Tesco supermarket on Attila Szigethy Street in Győr.
Based on the number of tokens, the company distributes HUF 41 million in support among 161 applicant organizations, with separate awards being given to Karotinka Szolgáltató Kft. in Budapest, Gondolkodj Zölden – Imagine Green Association in Somogy, Szabolcs-Szatmár-Bereg counties Don’t be left behind! Foundation and the initiative of the Rózsafalu Civil Association of Vas County for their creativity and innovative approach.
“Let’s move together!” of the Győr-Moson-Sopron and Vas Counties Sports and Interest Protection Association of the Győr-Moson-Sopron County Organ Transplanters received the most votes nationwide. was awarded the tender, the purpose of which is to organize a sports and lifestyle camp for organ transplant recipients, thus helping to increase the lifespan of the received organ.
