National business development roadshow launches in collaboration with the Chamber of Commerce
The Ministry of Culture and Innovation (KIM) will launch a national entrepreneurship development roadshow between September and December, jointly with the Hungarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MKIK), with the aim of helping young people become entrepreneurs, the ministry’s State Secretary for Higher Education, Vocational and Adult Education and Youth announced at a press conference in Budapest on Tuesday.
Veronika Varga-Bajusz said that the Hungarian vocational training system has been completely renewed in the past five years, which increasingly serves to prepare for the labor market, which was confirmed by the OECD study examining this and the Hungarian successes achieved at the Euroskills professional championship.
She said:
In the summer, the ministry developed an entrepreneurship knowledge course together with MKIK, and in the fall, they are expecting applications from final-year high school students or graduates for seminars in 21 cities across the country
– she added.
Ákos Csókay, Secretary General of the Hungarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, said: one of the important tasks of the chamber is to support young people in becoming entrepreneurs. Within the framework of the roadshow, they want to reach several thousand students studying in vocational training centers and involve at least 50 of the selected students in the mentor program supported by the chamber.
