National vocational training school year opening in Miskolc
In Miskolc, the Szemere Bertalan Technical School, Vocational School and Dormitory hosted this year’s National Vocational Training School Opening, where participants reported on the status and developments of vocational training.
According to the Ministry for Culture and Innovation, 44 thousand students will begin their vocational studies this year, bringing the total number of participants in vocational training to nearly 300 thousand. Students can gain practical experience in modern workshops and in companies within the framework of dual training. Students can also receive scholarships and wages, and digital teaching materials and tools are also available for training.
According to the ministry, teacher salaries have increased since 2020, and about 400 billion forints have been invested nationwide, and institutional developments are underway. Five sectoral knowledge centers are currently being established, with a budget of 21 billion forints.
The information also reminded that in the five years since the launch of the Vocational Education 4.0 program, Hungarian students have also achieved results in international professional competitions.
The event was addressed by Member of Parliament Katalin Csöbör, who mentioned the programs that help young people get started, and Elek Nagy, President of the Hungarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, who drew attention to the fact that mastering shortage professions offers students a secure livelihood and development opportunities.
