The shopping park portfolio of Gránit Alapkezelő is being reborn as a national network

One of the defining transactions of the domestic commercial real estate market was officially concluded on February 27, as part of which the Magyar Posta Takarék Ingatlanbefektetési Alap managed by Gránit Fund Management purchased the Park Center shopping park portfolio from Revetas Capital – Gránit informed MTI on Monday.

According to the announcement, along with the integration of the portfolio, the fund manager will launch a complete image and commercial renewal of the network, operating one of the largest, centrally managed shopping park networks in Hungary under the ZONE Shopping Park brand name.

During the transaction, 8 shopping park and 4 independent retail units – with a total gross leasable area of 45,000 square meters – were acquired by the public real estate fund with tens of thousands of investors.

Granit Fund Management, supplementing its existing properties, now operates a network of 20 units in 19 cities across the country.

The visual and content update of the ZONE Shopping Park will start at the same time as the change of ownership. The goal is for customers to receive the same service at every location: free parking, easy accessibility and a range of shops tailored to daily needs – they announced.

The former Park Center units – Debrecen, Dunaújváros, Miskolc, Mosonmagyaróvár, Nagykanizsa, Siófok, Szekszárd, Zalaegerszeg

– are gradually taking on the new look.

According to the information, the investment funds of Gránit Alapkezelő own more than 460 thousand square meters of real estate. The Hungarian portfolio of nearly 350 thousand square meters is managed by Grandum Real Estate Management.
