Russia wants leading grain exporter role again
Russia expects to regain its leading grain exporter role in this season, thanks to its good harvest, after forced to introduce export bans due to last year’s severe drought.
According to Jelena Szkrinnyik, Minister of Agriculture; Russia will export 18 million tons of grain in the 2011-2012-season, that began in July. “We will Regain our position at the world's grain markets” – she added – reports Világgazdaság Online, after the Moscow Times.
