Russia may be the world's largest grain exporter
Russia's government hopes that Russia can become the world's largest grain exporter in the next agricultural year, like the former Soviet Union – Magyar Nemzet Online wrote.
Russian Agriculture Minister Alexander Tkacsev told to a Russian television station that “Russia is once again the world's largest grain exporter, and particularly will be the largest wheat exporter in the agricultural year last from July 2015 until the end of June 2016.”
The minister said that Russia in the past decade has increased its grain production by almost 25 percent, so the annual grain exports was around 30 million tons, of which nearly 22 million tons of wheat was exported. (Magyar Nemzet Online, MTI)
