Russian embargo: the Hungarian farmers will receive EU support to withdraw more than four tons of fruits and vegetables
The Hungarian farmers can apply for support from the new 165 million worth EU funds opened on Tuesday, to withdraw more than four tons of fruits and vegetables to compensate the losses due to the Russian embargo – the Ministry of Agriculture (FM) told MTI on Wednesday.
Under the regulations for the withdrawal, the amount for Hungary is 4295 tonnes. The amount of apples and pears can be 725 tonnes; the amount of plums and grapes 570 tonnes. In addition, a total of an additional 3,000 tonnes for apples, pears, plums, tomatoes, cabbage, peppers, cucumbers, cauliflower, broccoli, mushrooms, carrots, fresh table grapes and berries.
